- Amid a wave of celebrities sharing that they’ve used Ozempic, TV personality and fashion designer Kelly Osbourne is the betting favorite to be the next.
- Osbourne has changed her mind on the weight loss drug in the past — initially opposing it, then supporting it, and recently saying she’s never taken Ozempic.
- Rebel Wilson is the latest celebrity to reveal that she used Ozempic to help her lose weight.
Kelly Osbourne, 39, recently claimed she has never used Ozempic to lose weight. However, according to BetOnline, Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter is the next likeliest celebrity to admit to taking the drug.
Currently, Osbourne has +350 odds of disclosing that she’s taken the weight loss drug. That equals an implied probability of 22.2% for the celebrity to reveal she’s taken Ozempic.
Those aren’t the most overwhelming odds, so this prop bet is mostly speculation. Nevertheless, bookies don’t seem convinced that Osbourne is telling the truth because she’s the favorite.
In February, Kelly’s mother, Sharon Osbourne, stopped taking Ozempic after losing 42 pounds. Sharon Osbourne weighed under 100 pounds at one point last year and stated she couldn’t put any weight on.
Following Osbourne’s odds, Melissa McCarthy (+400) and Adele (+500) have the next shortest odds. There is a slew of celebrities with +600 odds, including Simon Cowell, Janet Jackson, Jessica Simpson, and Jennifer Hudson.
Osbourne Changes Stance On Ozempic
Osbourne has flip-flopped her view on the weight loss drug in the past. She initially criticized Ozempic, which is also used to treat type 2 diabetes.
In April, Osbourne clarified that she changed her mind after discussing the drug with someone who used it for weight loss.
I made some comments about Ozempic recently where it was like 50% of the people hated it, 50% of the people liked it. But the truth is, my opinion used to be the same as the people who didn’t like my opinion on Ozempic until I met somebody who lost weight from Ozempic, and it changed their life…It completely changed my opinion on it, so I’m like yeah, it’s great. If there’s a medication out there that can help people lose weight then what’s so bad about it?
In March, Osbourne drew the angst of critics after she said people who hate it can’t afford it. She went as far as saying the weight loss medication is “amazing”. Additionally, Osbourne claimed that people who don’t like Ozempic are secretly doing it.
Those are telling words for someone who didn’t care for Ozempic in the past. Did she let it slip that she’d taken the drug secretly?
People hate on it because they want to do it. And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it, or pissed off that they can’t afford it. Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it actually works.
Osbourne added, “I think it’s amazing. There are a million ways to lose weight, so why not do it through something that isn’t as boring as working?”
Despite Osbourne’s 180 and huge support for Ozempic, she denies that she has taken Ozempic. For someone who has spent as much time as she has discussing the weight loss drug, it isn’t surprising that Osbourne is the favorite.
Osbourne has changed her position before, so it wouldn’t be out of character to flip and admit she’s consumed Ozempic. That being said, Osbourne better hurry up because celebrities are admitting to its use at a rapid pace!
Rebel Wilson Joins Long List Of Celebrities
The Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids actress is the most recent celebrity to come out publicly about using Ozempic. Rebel Wilson, 44, said that she used it, but only after she lost weight on her own.
Wilson claims that she only experimented with Ozempic to maintain her weight loss after giving birth to her newborn daughter. In 2020, Wilson lost 80 lbs through an aggressive fitness campaign and then apparently used Ozempic after the fact.
She is part of an expansive list of celebrities who have admitted to using Ozempic to lose weight. Oprah, Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, Tracy Morgan, Elon Musk, and Khloé Kardashian, among many others, have said they’ve taken Ozempic for weight loss.
