- BetOnline has released odds for a potential boxing match between Drake and Joe Budden
- Drake is an overwhelming betting favorite to defeat Budden.
- The former rapper and podcast host reignited his rivalry with Drake after criticizing his latest album.
Seven years after Joe Budden criticized Drake’s album Views, the two are butting heads once again. In recent jabs aimed at Drake, Budden is not a fan of Champagne Papi’s latest album, For All the Dogs. With a new beef brewing between Drake and Budden, Drake has opened as a massive -800 favorite in a potential boxing fight.
BetOnline’s Drake vs. Budden odds squarely put Drake in a position to bury the feud in a boxing ring. At -800 odds, Drake enjoys an 88.9 percent implied probability to beat Budden. Despite no fight officially planned, oddsmakers at BetOnline are getting into the action early.
Budden Rips Drake’s Latest Album, Says It’s For Children
Budden had harsh words for Drake’s eighth studio album. In his recent podcast, Budden laid into the rap star’s style in For All the Dogs:
“He rappin’ for all the children. Yo dog, I had to look up how old this n—a was when I finished listening to the album. You are 36. Your birthday is in 20 days. I Googled that, too. You’re going to be 37 years old. Get the f—k away from some of these younger n—s. And stop f—ing these 25-year-olds.”
Budden appeared to strike a chord with Drake, who quickly rebutted the podcast host by writing a post on Instagram and sending a DM to Budden.
“You have failed at music. You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success,” Drake wrote. “You switched careers cause the things that pop into your brain had you broke living cheque to cheque…”
Joe Budden Agrees To Fight Against Gillie Da Kid
Those sound like fighting words from Drake. The Toronto-born rapper has never participated in a fight, but he is reportedly betting big money on the Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis fight this weekend.
Drake claims that he is betting $850,000 on Paul to knock out Dannis on Saturday. He has been known to wager big money on sports, so this does not come as much of a surprise.
While Budden hasn’t agreed to fight Drake, he has reportedly agreed to a fight with Gillie Da Kid. In August, Budden said that he was ready to train for a boxing match against the 39-year-old rapper.
The two previously had a beef, but they have been on friendly terms as of late. Nevertheless, Budden and Gillie Da Kid are planning on stepping into the ring.
With oddsmakers giving Budden no chance versus Drake, we will see if Gillie Da Kid is a better matchup for the 43-year-old native of New Jersey (by way of East Harlem).
