Buffalo Bill’s in Primm, Nevada welcomed back customers last December 23.
The resort and casino had been closed for most of the last three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a representative from Primm Valley Casino Resort, the property underwent extensive renovations before it reopened, with upgrades made to its restaurants and a giant video wall added to its Star of the Desert Arena. More upgrades are expected in the coming year.
Reels Spinning Again
Primm Valley Resorts is proud to have the reels spinning again at Buffalo Bill’s full-time! We will continue add to our multi- million dollar upgrades in 2023.

While the reels are spinning again at Buffalo Bill’s, there’s still work to be done on its slots. During its reopening day, there were no video poker machines on the casino floor. The only video poker machines found were at the casino’s bar. Meanwhile, the high-limit video poker machine that used to offer 8/5 Bonus Poker and 15/9 Deuces Wild are now gone.
Perhaps the biggest change to Buffalo Bill’ is that it is now home to the Primm table games. Players at the renovated Buffalo Bill’s will find four $15 6:5 blackjack tables, a $15 mini craps table with 3-4-5 times odds, double zero roulette, and $10 Three Card Poker.
These tables were moved from Whiskey’s Pete to Buffalo Bill’s. The pit at Whiskey’s Pete is now mostly empty but the arcade is now open. The table games at Primm Valley Resorts are still on its casino floor but appear to be permanently closed.
Primm Valley Resort Operations Scaled Back
Primm Valley Resort has been gutted. Half the casino floor on the outlet mall side is closed off. Many of those machines were moved to Buffalo Bill's. Tables appear to be permanently closed here. Meanwhile, operations at Primm Valley Resort have been scaled back significantly. In addition to its table games being closed, half of its casino floor is now empty. Everything between the stadium gaming and outlet mall is now closed. Most of the machines in this section were also moved to Buffalo Bill’s.
The Primm Valley Hotel has also closed, with the last night guests stayed in the hotel last December 22. Guests who stayed longer were moved to Buffalo Bill’s from December 23 onwards. No official announcement has been made by Affinity Gaming as to the plans for Primm Valley Resort.
On the other hand, the roller coaster at Buffalo Bill’s has not reopened and there is no word if it will. The roller coaster’s entrance is now an arcade. The long flume now has arcade games in it. The Frog Hopper is still there but it has not been in operation for the last five years.
