Starting off my list of the best books about roulette is The Basics of Winning Roulette by J. Edward Allen. The guy is one of the foremost authors on a variety of gambling topics, including craps, blackjack, and of course, roulette. 

The Basics of Winning Roulette is the perfect book for anyone interested in learning how to play roulette. It is a quick read and, as the title implies, covers all of the basics that every roulette player needs to know. The book also includes illustrations that make the information easily digestible for roulette players of all experience levels. 

This guide covers the types of bets available in online roulette. It also covers basic betting systems used in the classic table game. You will learn the essentials of money management in roulette and how to avoid common roulette myths.

Another important book on roulette strategy that inexperienced players need to read is How to Play Roulette: The Ultimate Guide to Roulette Strategy, Rules and Roulette System for Greater Winnings. This book was written by David Sanders and published in 2017. Like The Basics of Winning Roulette, this guide is a fast read at under 70 pages.

The bulk of this book focuses on deconstructing roulette betting systems. You will learn when certain strategies work and when they do not. It focuses on helping the reader understand why many roulette strategies are flawed. 

This book is better suited for beginners who are still trying to create a strategy for roulette. Veteran players can still benefit from this book on roulette, though, as it can help you find holes in your current system.

Up next is Playing Roulette as a Business by R.J. Smart. Originally published in 1996, this book was re-released in 2000 and has been one of the top books on roulette strategy for over two decades. It offers over 160 pages of engaging discussion about how to win money playing roulette. 

The focus of Smart’s strategy is to minimize your losses at all costs. To do this, you need to cover a significant portion of the wheel, nearly half, each round. You will not win every bet, but the ones that are successful will, in theory, cover your losses. 

You will not win a large sum on any given round using Smart’s betting system. Instead, you will win small amounts at a, hopefully, frequent pace that will add up to big wins by the end of the night. The key is mastering the 1-1-1-2-4-6-8-16-32 progression system.

Another great book on roulette is The Fibonacci Strategy: How to make money playing roulette. As the name implies, this strategy book focuses on how to successfully use the Fibonacci strategy in roulette. It was written by E.M. Pablo and published in 2019. 

This strategy uses similar techniques as other progressive systems, like the world-famous Martingale Systems. However, the means for determining your next stake are based on the Fibonacci Sequence, one of the most famous mathematical sequences. You will learn everything you need to know about the strategy, including how to use it online, in this book. 

Since the book only focuses on using one strategy, it is a very quick read. At just 34 pages, The Fibonacci Strategy: How to make money playing roulette is the shortest book on my list.

As roulette has evolved, so too have the strategies for playing it successfully. Roulette The Winning Edge: A Technical Guide for Effective Play by Alex Vale discusses strategies for modern roulette players. Vale discusses roulette systems that work for in-person, online, and live dealer roulette games. 

This book is great for both new and experienced roulette players. It provides an easy-to-understand explanation of the basics of roulette and includes diagrams to help you better understand the game. Vale also provides an in-depth look at the more technical aspects of the game, such as roulette wheel biases, which can help experienced players grow. 

Roulette The Winning Edge: A Technical Guide for Effective Play is the newest book on my list. It is also the second longest at nearly 200 pages, but the length of the book is actually a positive for readers. Vale is able to give a better analysis of key concepts that benefit roulette players of all experience levels.

• Year published: 2017

Rounding out my list of the best roulette books is Secrets of Winning Roulette by Marten Jensen. Jensen has written multiple successful gambling strategy books, and this book is one of the best. It was published in 2017, so the information is great for modern gamblers, even if it is a longer read at over 250 pages. 

Part of the reason Secrets of Winning Roulette is so much longer than other books on my list is that it covers a wide range of topics. Jensen discusses each topic in depth, so the book is on the longer side. 

My favorite part of Secrets of Winning Roulette is the comprehensive look at popular systems provided by Jensen. He breaks down many systems, including the Martingale System, the D’Alembert System, and the Labouchere System, among others.
