The CBS reality competition staple Survivor returns on this Wednesday, September 21 with the premiere episode of Survivor 43 (8pm EDT/8 pm PDT) as 18 Castaways from three tribes compete for the $1 million prize over the 26-day season.
As it has been the last 11 years, Survivor was filmed in Fiji, this 43rd season in the Mamanuca Islands with Jeff Probst host but there are all new players this season and rumor has it that Survivor 44 will also be all new players.

Survivor Betting Odds: Two Men Top Favorites
The opening Survivor betting odds are always raw and based on perceptions of the Castaways’ Ages, Physical shape, and potential to survive but are always given odds based on what the linemakers see on the film clips provided.
The show is taped up until the point when the Castaways vote, and then Survivor usually returns to Los Angeles to reveal the winner in a live vote although last season the vote was just revealed there in Fiji.
After Men won 5 straight seasons of Survivor, Women won the last two seasons, both by 7-1 votes, so the trend for Women winners on the show may just be starting. Remember that when watching and handicapping after the early Episodes.
Survivor season 43 odds see Knight (6/1 to win Survivor 43, Bovada) as the Baka Tribe member with the best chances to win this season with tribemate Elie Scott priced at 10/1 Survivor betting odds in the openers from Bovada. The Coco Tribe ranges from age 25 to 42 with two Tribe members from Pennsylvania and two from Texas. Ryan Medrano (25, El Paso), Geo Bustamante (36, Honolulu), and James Jones (27, Philadelphia) are the Tribe’s three Men.
In the Vesi Tribe, we find six Castaways age 22 to 43, with the three Women being Noelle Lambert (25, Manchester, NH), Justine Brennan (29, Marina Del Rey, CA), and Nneke Ejere (43, Weatherford, TX) and Lambert i 12/1 to win the $1 million. Lambert—who injured herself in a Moped accident in 2016—is a very interesting story as she was a Paralympic Track & Field star who competed in the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan. And at 12/1, she is worth a look here. The Men in the Vesi tribe include Dwight Moore (22, Collierville, TN), Jesse Lopez (20, Durham, NC), and Cody Assemacher (35, Honolulu) and the Survivor odds and all three are bunched together between 12/1 nd 16/1 odds to win Survivor 43.

Opening Betting Favorites Seldom Win The Show
The Survivor season 42 odds saw Lindsay Dolashewich (+250 to win Survivor 42, BetUS) head in as the favorite, but it was Maryanne Oketch at 16/1 that ended up winning the show and the $1 million prize and rewarding her Futures book backers.
Women won Survivor USA three straight seasons twice. Jenna Morasca (S6), two-time winner Sandra Diaz-Twine (S7) and Amber Brkich (S8, All-Stars) and Sophie Clarke (S23), Kim Spradlin (S24), and Denise Staepley (S25), so we may have another Women winner.
Elisabeth Scott (10/1), Nneka Ejere (12/1), and the aforementioned Paralympian Noelle Lambert (12/1) all give the Women the best chance at capturing a third straight season of Survivor and Jury members have cast 14 of the 16 votes for Women on finale night. Remember that when making your Futures wagers. For me, the affable Zheng, a UX Designer from Frisco, is worth consideration, and she said in an interview that past winner Kim Spradlin is one of her favorites.
