NFL Parlay 6 Million

  • An NFL bettor in Florida is $5.5 million richer after hitting a four-leg parlay in Week 10.
  • The bet was a same game parlay in the Houston Texans vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup on Sunday afternoon.
  • The $6 million parlay cashed after the Texans’ kicker Matt Ammendola hit a 38-yard-field goal to upset the Bengals.

Not only was a big win for the Houston Texans riding on the leg of Matt Ammendola, but a $6 million parlay was as well. As Ammendola’s 38-yard-field goal went through the uprights at Paycor Stadium, one sports bettor in Florida collected a cool $6 million from a single NFL parlay bet.

The unnamed bettor placed the $500,000 parlay bet with the newly reopened Hard Rock Bet sportsbook. According to Hard Rock Bet, the total payout for the four-leg parlay ticket topped off at $6 million, for a profit of $5.5 million.

Four-Leg Texans vs. Bengals Parlay Hits

The wagers included on the parlay ticket were all from the same Week 10 matchup between the Houston Texans and Cincinnati Bengals.

For the bet to be successful, all of the following events had to occur: Devin Singletary rushes for Over 51.5 yards, Singletary scores a touchdown, the total score goes Over 44.5 points, and the Texans beat the Bengals outright.

Singletary easily eclipsed the 51.5-yard threshold. The 26-year-old running back galloped for 150 yards in the winning effort. It’s the first time that Singletary has gained more than 60 yards rushing in a game this season.

The former Buffalo Bill found the end zone at 7:08 of the third quarter to make it a 20-7 lead over the Bengals. With Singletary on his way to more than 51 yards rushing, a touchdown, and a two-touchdown lead, the four-leg parlay was looking incredibly promising.

Additionally, the Singletary touchdown put the total on track to go Over the total of 44.5 points. The score had to make the bettor feel like there was a real chance of his $500,000 wager cashing.

However, the final minutes of fourth quarter was a stress-inducing sequence, which ultimately came down to a replacement field goal kicker.

Texans Prevail To Complete $6 Million Parlay

The Texans went up 27-17 on an 8-yard C.J. Stroud touchdown run at 12:47 of the fourth quarter. Despite a comfortable lead, the Bengals’ Joe Mixon scored a touchdown to cut the lead to 27-24 at 3:18. The touchdown put the game Over 44.5 points, with now only the Texans needing to win.

However, the Bengals were able to get the ball back, and subsequently kicked a 31-yard-field goal to tie it up at 27-27. With just over a minute remaining in regulation, Stroud calmly led the Texans down the field for a 38-yard-field goal with time expiring to win 30-27.

The Texans closed as 6-point underdogs and +210 on the moneyline. At +210, the Texans had an implied probability of just 32.3 percent to win outright.

As a result of all legs of the parlay winning, the improbable $6 million parlay came through for the Florida sports bettor.
