EPL Clean Sheet Betting Odds and Picks (Weekly Updates)

Last gameweek, we nailed down a fantastic +250 on Liverpool to finish their Manchester derby unscathed. Slot’s men finished the match with a nice 3:0 on the scoreboard. If you followed our EPL clean sheet predictions, you must’ve been happy following that final whistle!

This time around, we’re aiming for something that isn’t nearly as lucrative as last week’s pick, but it’s much safer. It’s still Liverpool, as the heading suggests, but they’re playing against Nottingham Forest next and I reckon they’ll extend their clean sheet record to 4 in 4.

That’s right – Liverpool is yet to concede a goal this season. Three matches, three wins, 7 scored and 0 conceded goals. And to think that Merseyside fans though they’d miss Jurgen Klopp…

Coming into this one, I just can’t see the likes of Wood, Elanga, and Hudson Odoi outsmarting Liverpool’s impeccable defensive routine. Sure, Nottingham has scored 3 in 3, but I reckon they’ll stay there after the fourth fixture.

Liverpool’s ability to control the middle of the park is impressive. The Reds under Slot are fantastic at suffocating the opposition, so I expect more of the same this week.

Plus, the game is set to be played at Anfield, and we all know how much the home crowd means to the Reds. So, long story short, I expect another 3 points and fourth consecutive clean sheet for Arne Slot’s men.

The odds of -102 surprised me, as I was expecting something in the -130 region, so I’m going for it.

Next up, we have Southampton vs. Manchester United. Both teams have conceded 5 goals in just 3 matches. The only difference is the fact United scored 2 while Southampton are still sitting on that one goal they scored against Brentford.

Despite losing 3:0 against Liverpool, Manchester United wasn’t terrible the entire game. They weren’t exactly brilliant either, but they played cohesive defense and created solid chances in Liverpool’s final third. The main problem was the serious lack of composure in the middle of the park that led to three easy goalscoring chances… which ended with three goals.

I am confident in ETH’s ability to get his team back up and running following that bitter defeat against their fierce rivals. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see Casemiro back in action too. One poor match isn’t enough to warrant a place on the bench, right?

As for Southampton, I just can’t see them creating enough space in the final third to endanger United’s defensive line and Onana. They scored just one goal in three fixtures, struggling immensely up front.

That’s the kind of opposition ETH is (still) capable of beating, so getting +178 for a clean sheet is a fantastic bet.
