Enrique Barzola | -205 | Jordan Oliver | -900 |
Kasum Kasumov | -265 | Sullivan Cauley | -800 |
Jairo Pacheco | +200 |
The real story of this card is the upset bets. Jairo Pacheco and Leandro Higo are easy money lines to triple your wager. The undefeated Steve Mowry, is another 3x money line that makes us highly confident in the underdog.
Bellator 298 Predictions
It’s tough to believe that two of the three biggest favorites haven’t had a single fight. You’ll have no trouble finding world class wrestlers and undefeated prospects to bet on at the top MMA betting sites.
Brennan Ward +240 vs Logan Storley -300
The Bellator 298 odds for the main event between Brennan Ward and Logan Storley should have an Over/Under in a few days, and we think it could be a short night. Fresh off a decision loss to the undefeated Yaroslav Amosov, Storley looks to regain his road to the title against Ward (17-6).
Ward is on a three-fight winning streak, each by knockout. The collective record of his recent wins is 39-27. While these fighters are experienced, they clearly have weaknesses that Ward exploited with ease. Against grapplers like Evangelista Santos and Fernando Gonzalez, Ward has fallen repeatedly fallen short.
Bet on a rare Logan Storley finish for what will likely be an upset Under prop bet, or stick with his money line for an easy value bet. Storley is underrated and on sale at -300.
Steve Mowry +220 vs Valentin Moldavsky -280
In spite of his undefeated status at 17-0, Steve Mowry comes in as the underdog. He fought Valentin Moldavsky back at Bellator 284, a fight that ended in a No Contest via accidental eye poke. Moldavsky was winning the fight, but the bout ending eye poke came just 54 seconds into the match.
Ali Isaev made Mowry look vulnerable, and Mowry’s submission centered style isn’t something fans want to count on against the upper echelon of athletes. But with Moldavsky’s last win coming in June 2021, it’s unclear how the 11-3 fighter will fare against a high-level grappler. Linton Vassell used takedowns to finish Modavsky in one round, and it’s possible that Mowry finds a way to do the same.
Aaron Jeffery +186 vs Dalton Rosta -226
Dalton Rosta is undefeated at 8-0, with a pro-am record of 14-0. Aaron Jefferey is no stranger to facing up-and-coming fighters. He beat Andre Petroski when Petroski was 5-0, giving him his first loss. He also faced Caio Borralho at DWCS, losing by unanimous decision.

— Bellator MMA (@BellatorMMA) August 3, 2023
Jefferey is talented, but his loss to John Salter gives us a preview of what the Dalton Rosta fight will look like. With slightly underdeveloped boxing, and an inability to keep pace with athletes that blend takedowns and striking well, Jefferey will find himself scrambling to keep the Rosta pace for three rounds. Bet on Rosta to win by UD if you’re interested in Bellator 298 odds for props.
Islam Mamedov -226 vs Sidney Outlaw +186
Underdog Sidney Outlaw is coming off another first round TKO loss in his career. Both of these losses came at the hands of Bellator prospects. Tofiq Musayev (19-4) finished Outlaw in just 27 seconds. When accounting for both record and youth, Islam Mamedov is the toughest opponent Outlaw has faced, aside from Michael Chandler.
Mamedov may be the strongest bet of the Bellator 298 odds and is certainly one of the better parlay additions. His payout is strong and Sidney has little chance of getting the win.
James Gallagher -120 vs James Gonzalez -110
These are some of the closest odds of the night, with James Gallagher a slight favorite
Even after his second career loss to Patchy Mix, Gallagher is a proven submission specialist going up against a decision machine.
James Gonzalez has three losses in his last seven fights. He’s beaten BJJ fighters like Pat Sabatini and has only ever lost by submission. After handing a submission loss to the undefeated Cody Law, it’s clear Gonzalez has the tools to outpoint good grapplers.
In addition to Gonzale’s moneyline, you can also bet the Over prop when the Bellator 298 odds become available.
Lucas Brennan -500 vs Weber Almeida +375
Lucas Brennan is undefeated and has put a ground fighting clinic on everyone he’s faced. He goes up against the 7-1 Weber Almeida, who is 12 years older than Brennan.

This is a huge test for Brennan and, if you’re skipping him as a parlay addition then consider dropping a low bet on the Almeida upset.
Eli Mefford +750 vs Michael Blockhus -1200
How is the 0-0 Michael Blockus a huge favorite? He’s fighting an 0-4 opponent as an All-American wrestler out of Minnesota. He’s a good wrestler, and he’ll have to dive face first into a haymaker to lose to Eli Mefford. Blockus is great as a parlay addition, but the payout may not be worth it unless you’re betting huge on a single fight ticket.
Aalon Cruz -135 vs Alfie Davis +105
This is a fight between finishers. Aalon Cruz has finished two of his last three after seeing consecutive losses in the UFC. Alfie Davis hasn’t seen a finish in his last eight, but he hasn’t been finished either. His early career was a litany of standing KO wins.
Alfie is the toughest guy Cruz has faced since losing in the UFC. I can’t see Cruz surviving a firefight with Alfie, so take the upset wager on Alfie Davis or look at the Under prop bet if you’re a Cruz fan.
Leandro Higo +185 vs Nikita Mikhailov -225
One of the Fedor Emelianenko proteges, Nikita Mikhailov fell short against Enrique Barzola in a stunning upset. Beating Darrion Caldwell put him on the right track, but we’re not sure he should be the favorite here.
Leandro Higo lost to Caldwell, Aaron Pico and Danny Sabatello. Higo was a knockout artist in his early career, but has since focused primarily on submission finishes. Mikhailov is fairly good at defending submission exchanges, but he’s yet to face high-level grapplers.
We think Higo might be the better bet, if only because of his payout. Keep him off the Bellator 298 parlay card and bet reasonably against this late bloomer.
Diana Avsaragova -162 vs Justine Kish +132
Now 2-6 in her last eight fights, Justine Kish is struggling against even moderate athletes in the UFC and in Bellator. She’s facing the undefeated Diana Avsaragova (6-0), who is a Russian fighter that has not faced any big names. We see a narrow win for Avasaragova, and we expect it to come via decision. So, look into some Bellator prop bets for distance and decision when they come out later this week.
Dayana Silva +128 vs Katerina Shakalova -158
Similar to Justine Kish, Dayana Silva is struggling in the Bellator Top Ten. She’s now 3-5 in her last eight fights, including four decision losses and one knockout. BJJ fighter Katerina Shakalova has five finishes in her 7-1 career, each on the ground.
Shakalova has better wrestling than Silva, so she’ll spend much of the fight trying to stand back up. Silva has never been submitted, but her cage grappling isn’t up to par.
Jerrell Hodge -170 vs Marcirley Alves da Silva +140
After five straight wins, Jarrell Hodge has the momentum coming into this fight. He has the height and reach advantage as a tall bantamweight, but fewer career finishes than knockout artist Marcirley Alves da Silva.

— Jason Hagholm (@JHagholm1) April 17, 2023
In Alves da Silva’s last two losses, he was submitted by rear naked choke, both times from his devil-may-care style of standing up no matter the position. We’re confident Hodge finds the submission. Bet the Under prop if you believe in Alves’ hands.
Enrique Barzola -205 vs Jaylon Bates +165
After recently upsetting Erik Perez, Enrique Barzola snapped two consecutive losses to Juan Archuleta and Magomed Magomedov. He’s the upset king, beating Caldwell and Mikhailov when every analyst said he shouldn’t have.
Jaylon Bates is 16-0 in his pro-am career, but this is a massive jump in level of competition. His win over Jornel Lugo (8-1) isn’t enough to jump from an unknown fighter to a Top Five featherweight.
Andrew Triolo +600 vs Jordan Oliver -900
Another wrestler turned MMA fighter; Jordan Oliver is training at Kill Cliff FC. He’s a three-time finalist and one time NCAA D1 champ. Oliver is only a -900 favorite because he’s 33 and is starting a bit late.
Andrew Triolo is 0-1 after a loss by ‘tapout to strikes’ and they’ve clearly picked the easiest opponent for Jordan Oliver in his debut fight.
Josh Hill +205 vs Kasum Kasumov -265
Underdog Josh Hill is a good fighter who’s been unafraid to face big fighters like Marcos Breno and Raufeon Stots. This is Kasum Kasumov’s first Bellator fight, but he’s 14-1 in the Eastern European shows and has only ever lost to future UFC fighter Charles Henrique.
Kasum has never been finished, while Hill has only been finished once by Marlon Maraes. This fight should be one of the more exciting on the card, with both fighters capable of finishing and both with the durability to withstand punishment. Bet the Over prop if you’re feeling hesitant on taking a moneyline.
Hamza Salim +550 vs Sullivan Cauley -800
Sullivan Cauley is looking to re-track his career after losing to Luke Trainer (6-1). He faces Hamza Salim (7-6), who is a fighter with real knockout power and questionable cardio. Cauley should get the win.

Jairo Pacheco +200 vs Vladimir Tokov -260
Another Emelianenko fighter that hasn’t lived up to his hype is Vladimir Tokov. He lost two of his last four fights against Bellator fighters. Jairo Pacheco fits the bill. He’s 7-1 with four finishes. He lost his last fight to Killys Mota by decision, which is nothing to be ashamed of.
We think the underrated Pacheco puts Tokov away in an exciting opening bout, which will net you a 3x on your wager.
Bellator 298 Could Be a Night of One-Sided Fights
Keep an eye on our list of sports betting sites for additional props on the more competitive bouts. If you’re interested in making bigger parlays than our four-fight suggestion, you should look at the Over/Under recommendations above.
You can also add finishing props to fighters like Lucas Brennan to improve their mone line to value betting status.
