Iowa Hawkeyes Win Total Odds and Prediction
- Over 7.5 Wins (-165)
- Under 7.5 Wins (+135)
Kirk Ferentz’s Iowa Hawkeyes are looking to make some unexpected noise in the Big Ten this season. They’re searching for much-needed stability at quarterback after another ugly year for the offense.
Michigan transfer Cade McNamara was pegged as Iowa’s QB1 last year. However, he exited after appearing in five games with a season-ending knee injury.
McNamara is returning for his fifth season, so if he stays healthy, Iowa should be able to avoid an ineffective QB carousel.
Cade McNamara spoke to the media today for the first time since he tore his ACL last fall. He now looks back on the last year with gratitude, and is excited for the future.

In his last full season, McNamara passed for 2,576 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions with Michigan in 2021. If he duplicates this production, Iowa will be in business, given their elite defense. As is the case in Ferentz’s era, the Hawkeyes will have one of the best units in college football.
Last season, Iowa ranked fourth with 14.79 points against per game in the FBS. They were fifth in passing and 15th in rushing yards allowed. In the run-heavy Big Ten, 15th in yards against the run is an impressive feat. With the majority of the defense returning to Iowa City, expect more of the same from the defense!
Iowa rode this elite defense to a 10-4 record and represented the Big Ten West in the Big Ten Championship. Despite a thin wide receiver room, tight end Luke Lachey should have a big season. The defense is likely to take care of the rest for the Hawkeyes.
Lastly, Iowa’s schedule is incredibly manageable. Aside from Ohio State, the Hawkeyes could be favored to win in their remaining games. Road trips to Minnesota, Michigan State, Maryland, and UCLA aren’t daunting tasks. With this in mind, Iowa’s college football win total odds for 2024 are a huge bargain on the Over at 7.5.
Ohio State Buckeyes Win Total Odds and Prediction
- Over 10.5 (-140)
- Under 10.5 (+110)
It’s a big year for head coach Ryan Day in Columbus! After three consecutive years of losing to the Michigan Wolverines, Day has to beat the bitter rival and qualify for the College Football Playoff.
If not, he is highly likely to receive his walking papers. Most Buckeye fans have called for Day’s firing seconds after the 30-24 loss to Michigan. Nevertheless, the coach remains in Columbus and is in a pressure cooker in 2024–25.
Fortunately for Day, he has a talented and deep team at his disposal this season. The quarterback room has some of the best depth in the nation. Currently, experienced Kansas State transfer Will Howard is in the saddle for the starting role.
However, Devin Brown, Air Noland, and Julian Sayin could all step in if they are called on. Sayin was the No. 1 QB recruit from the 2024 recruiting class, while Noland is a 5-star freshman.
They’ll have a terrific running back in TreVeyeon Henderson in the backfield. With the offense in good shape, the defense should excel this season!
No returning @bigten player had more rushing TDs in 2023 than TreVeyon Henderson.

Every starter on the field for the Buckeyes has previous experience. The one notable newcomer to the defense is All-American Alabama transfer Caleb Downs. The Buckeyes are known for their offense, but the defense has a chance to be the best in the country!
Ohio State should lose a game this season, likely against Penn State or Oregon. Otherwise, the Buckeyes have a clear road to an 11-win season, including defeating the Wolverines. The Buckeyes have among the best 2024 college football win total bets, so consider the Over 10.5 at online sportsbooks!
Florida Gators Win Total Odds and Prediction
- Over 4.5 (-150)
- Under 4.5 (+120)
The Florida Gators have among the lowest 2024 NCAAF season win totals. At 4.5 wins, head coach Billy Napier has a long road ahead, according to the latest odds. Napier understands that expectations must be kept low this season. Is that going to shield him from receiving heat from Florida fans, though?
Last season, Florida finished 5-7 after going 6-7 a season earlier. Will the Gators slide to four wins? It’s likely, given the holes in this roster. In his first season at Florida, former Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz stood out as a plus for the Gators.

— PFF College (@PFF_College) July 21, 2024
Mertz had the best season of his career, with 2,903 yards, 20 touchdowns, and three interceptions. The 23-year-old hopes to improve on a solid campaign, but the offensive line kept him from doing more damage in 2023–24. Florida was 115th in the nation, with 39 sacks yielded!
I expect him to again struggle under fire in the pocket behind a shaky offensive line. Mertz should be efficient, but the offensive line will come up short in key moments. Also, I don’t have any confidence in Florida’s defense pulling its weight.
After struggling mightily last year, the Gators fired their defensive line and secondary coaches. They’re currently in rebuilding mode. Still, there are some reasons to be optimistic with last year’s leading tackler safety, Jordan Castell, returning. Additionally, highly ranked defensive tackle LJ McCray will make his debut.
However, Florida’s schedule is one of the toughest in college football. After their second bye, the Gators play Georgia, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, and Florida State, all potential losses as underdogs.
This team just doesn’t have enough talent and chemistry to get results from such a tough run. For your best NCAAF win totals, consider the Under on Florida at a generous +120 price!
Oklahoma State Cowboys Win Total Odds and Prediction
- Over 8 Wins (-115)
- Under 8 Wins (-115)
The Oklahoma State Cowboys head into the 2024–25 season with high expectations. An eight or seven-win season wouldn’t be viewed as a success for the Cowboys. Without having to deal with Texas and Oklahoma in the Big 12 any longer, Oklahoma State has a solid chance to win more than eight games.
Quarterback Alan Bowman will be one of the most experienced players in college football. He returns to the gridiron for his seventh season! Texas Tech and Michigan fans are aware of Bowman. He started games for the Red Raiders from 2018 to 2020 and then had a backup role with Michigan in 2021 and 2022.
After passing for 3,460 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions with Oklahoma last year, Bowman was granted a seventh year of collegiate eligibility! You can’t say they don’t have experience at the controls of the offense. In addition to Bowman, the rest of the offense is experienced at virtually every position.
The offense returns six redshirt super seniors and a redshirt to the roster. The most prominent player returning is running back Ollie Gordon II. He won the Doak Walker Award for the best running back in the nation in 2023. The star running back gained 1,732 yards and 21 touchdowns on 6.1 yards per carry!
Ollie Gordon somehow scored a touchdown here. @DoakWalkerAward is coming to Stillwater. pic.twitter.com/DrQu7FdrZG
— Carson Cunningham (@Carson_OKC) November 26, 2023
Gordon II joins two proven wide receivers, Rashod Owens and Brennan Presley, who combined for nearly 1,900 receiving yards a season ago. In addition to the offense returning experience, the defense will see 10 players returning for the Cowboys.
There aren’t any excuses for head coach Mike Gundy with this team. There is a plethora of talent and experience to give Oklahoma State at least nine wins. With this in mind, the 2024 college football win total odds deliver excellent betting value on the Cowboys at eight wins!
