UEFA Champions League Picks Today: Our UCL Best Bets and Predictions

Many bettors will skip Crvena Zvezda vs. Barcelona because the odds for the Spaniards are very low. However, I found this prop bet that looks really good – Barca to win and Lewandowski to score at -136.

It’s no secret Barcelona are in pitch perfect form. They are by far the best goalscoring team in the Spanish La Liga, having scored a whopping 40 goals in 12 matches. Robert Lewandowski, Barca’s star striker, remains the main threat with 14 goals and 2 assists to his name.

I expect Barcelona to reach a comfortable win in this one. They’re likely to close the game off in the first half with a couple of goals and rest their players in the second. As for Robert Lewandowski, I just can’t see the likes of Spajic and Djiga stopping him from scoring tonight.

The Polish striker is in fantastic form, so combining a goal for him with a win for his team makes a lot of sense at -136.

For this one, we’re going with both teams to score. It’s the most obvious choice after looking at both teams’ stats. Sure, we could’ve gone with a double chance bet or a straight up moneyline on Atalanta… But at -225, we just couldn’t let this one slip away.

VfB Stuttgart is not having the best of seasons so far. They’re sitting in 8^th spot with just 13 points. Goals are all over the place in Stuttgart’s matches; they scored 17 and conceded 16 in just 9 matches. Their Champions League performances leave much to be desired, too. Stuttgart is currently 21^st, just above the fold, with 4 points in 3 games.

Atalanta is only a point above Stuttgart in the Champions League standings but is in a much better position in their domestic league. They’re currently 3^rd in Serie A and are the best goalscoring team with 29 goals in 11 matches. They’re not the best defensively, though, having conceded 14 so far.

Long story short, we have two teams that create chances at will and can’t defend. Everything mentioned so far points to both teams to score YES bet. The price of -225 may look short, but I would’ve expected something like -300, so that’s good value.

Last but not least, we’re going with a straightforward moneyline on PSG against Atletico Madrid. PSG is in excellent form in Ligue 1, though they couldn’t be further from that in the Champions League.

Three matches in, PSG lads have just 4 points to their name. They need every single point from now on, and that starts with the game against Atletico Madrid.

Struggling Atletico Madrid, mind you. Simeone’s side are below the CL fold with just 3 points.  And while they are 3^rd in La Liga, they lost to Betis two weeks ago in a match that showed how static and unimaginative they can be.

I expect something similar for Atleti against PSG. Don’t get me wrong – the French team is nowhere nearly as strong as it was with Mbappe… but they’re still capable of dominating Ligue 1 and juggling with the best of them in the CL.

They have exceptional individuals in Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele who should make the difference in this one. Plus, Atletico can’t count on Gimenez due to a suspension, which will shake their defense up a bit. All in all, PSG to win at -140 seems like a good choice here.
