Grammy Award for Album of the Year

Swift is the odds-on favorite to win Album of the Year for Midnights. Featuring 13 songs, including the single Anti-Hero, Swift’s tenth studio album has been a major success for the 34-year-old.

Midnights shattered the Spotify single-day streaming record, and two other records, as well. It is the most streamed album on Spotify in 24 hours, with 184.6 million hits. The most streams on the first day an album was released. Additionally, with 228 million streams, it is the most streamed act on Spotify in 24 hours².

Despite all the success and support that Swift has gotten from her fans, she is likely going to face some resistance from SZA’s SOS and Lana Del Ray’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.

That said, it would have to take a fairly big upset to pull it off. Swift’s dream year carries over into 2024 with a Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

Grammy Award for Record of the Year

Travis Kelce’s girlfriend isn’t leaving the Grammys with only one award. According to the Grammys odds, Swift is in a solid position to win Record of the Year, too.

That said, Miley Cyrus wouldn’t be a surprise winner for “Flowers”, either. SZA’s “Kill Bill” could be a sneaky pick, as well.

However, the safest choice for voters is going to be siding with Swift. At +125 odds, she has an implied probability of 44.4 percent to win this award.

We put her closer to 60 percent. With that in mind, there is value on “Anti-Hero” at +125.

Grammy Award for Song of the Year

While the recording of “Anti-Hero” should get the edge, the Grammy Award for Song of the Year isn’t going to be that straightforward for Swift. She is going to be under pressure from Billie Eilish.

“What Was I Made For?” was prominently a key theme in the Barbie movie. Despite Margot Robbie missing out on a major nomination at the Academy Awards, Eilish is prepared to collect the Oscar for Best Original Song.

The hype and positive reception for “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie movie has a good chance of spilling over to the Grammys. It isn’t the most radio-friendly song, but it has done well on other outlets, including one of the biggest movies of the year.

We are going with a small upset for Song of the Year on Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”.

Grammy Award for Pop Dance Recording

In 2004, Kylie Minogue won her first and only Grammy at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards. After 20 years of waiting, Minogue is closing in on her second career Grammy at Crypto.com Arena.

With a Vegas residency and a Grammy nomination, Minogue has been enjoying a renaissance of sorts over the last year. The strongest competition that Minogue will have to face in this category is likely “Rush”, from Troye Sivan.

Sivan won’t get there, though, as Minogue’s “Padam Padam” wins the Grammy Award for Pop Dance Recording.

Grammy Award for Best Solo Pop Performance

Swift will go home with at least two or three Grammys on Sunday night. However, the Grammy Award for Best Solo Pop Performance should be interesting. Miley Cyrus has a good case for a Grammy or two in 2024, as well.

A year after Adele was the clear favorite to win this category, there isn’t a true favorite for the award this year. In what should be a toss-up, we have to lean towards Cyrus for Flowers.

If we’re talking about a pure pop performance, it has to be Cyrus over Swift here. At +125 odds, Cyrus isn’t a bad bet to win Best Solo Pop Performance.

Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album of the Year

Cyrus might have the advantage for Best Solo Pop Performance, but Swift is in the driver’s seat for Best Pop Vocal Album of the Year. Swift’s vocals far exceed any of her competition in this category.

This could be another situation where the favorite goes down. Currently, Ice Spice is a -300 favorite to win the Grammy for Best New Artist. The odds favor Ice Spice, but Victoria Monét has a strong chance for the upset.

Ice Spice should be closer to -150 rather than -300 odds to win for Best New Artist. She might be the more popular artist to young music fans, but Monét has been garnering plenty of attention as of late and has developed into a star.

Monét is going into the 2024 Grammys with seven nominations. She is well on her way to superstardom. At even money, oddsmakers might want to give her more respect to win this category.
