Best NBA Player Props Today: Our Best Bets for Tonight

The Brooklyn Nets and New Orleans Pelicans open the week with a matchup at the Smoothie King Center. Dennis Schroeder’s points total is on my radar for NBA player prop bets tonight.

With a total of 17.5 points, I like the over for this wager. Schroeder is averaging 20.1 points per game on 48.6% shooting from the field. He has been an exceptional acquisition for the Nets, who could be used as great trade bait at the trade deadline.

Note that Schroeder has notched at least 18 points in three consecutive matchups. Additionally, the guard has finished with an average of 20.8 points per game over his previous nine games. He’s also shooting an impressive 46.3% from three!

The Pelicans are 21st in the NBA, with 13.7 three-pointers allowed per game. Also, they are second-last with teams shooting 38.1% from beyond the arc against the Pelicans. On top of that, the Pelicans are dead last, yielding a 50% field goal percentage!

Schroeder should have a bunch of success and improve his trade value again tonight. With this in mind, his points total is way too low and should be considered for your best NBA player prop bets!

Another player from the Nets worth considering against this porous Pelicans’ defense is Ben Simmons. Instead of the totals prop, I am dissecting Simmons’ assists prop bet at Bovada! The line is a touch too low, so the over is an option well worth your attention.

The former 76er is averaging 6.4 assists per game this season. He isn’t much of an impact with his scoring ability — Simmons has scored just 6.1 points per game. However, he is distributing the ball well to his teammates.

Note that Simmons has recorded at least six assists in three consecutive starts. He has also gotten a minimum of six in four of his last five outings!

The Pelicans are responsible for conceding a lot of assists per game. Currently, they have allowed an average of 28.9 assists per contest for 27th in the NBA. Simmons’ previous matchups against the Pelicans have proven to be a success.

He has averaged 7.6 assists in nine outings versus New Orleans. All things considered, I’m more than happy yo back Simmons for over 4.5 assists for my NBA player props today!

Josh Giddey has found success in his new home with the Chicago Bulls! Giddey needed a fresh start in Chicago, and it has paid off for the 22-year-old from Melbourne. He is averaging 13.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7 assists per game!

Giddey’s handles have taken off as a member of the Bulls. He is on pace to break his career-high in assists and is likely going to add to his resume tonight. Note that Giddey has notched more than five assists in five consecutive performances.

He is seeing the floor extremely well, as was the case last year against the Cavaliers in his final year in Oklahoma City. Giddey recorded six assists in three of four games against the Cavs. He should have at least six again tonight, so consider Giddey to go over 5.5 assists for your NBA props today!
