MNF Best Bets This Week: Dolphins vs. Rams

Miami Dolphins vs. Los Angeles Rams MNF Betting Odds and Lines

The Miami Dolphins (2-6) head to the West Coast for a must-win scenario against the Los Angeles Rams (4-4) in Week 10. Miami’s record suggests they are down and out, but there is a small glimmer of hope that a win could spark a run in the second half.

There are a variety of Monday Night Football odds available for this matchup at the best NFL betting sites. We explore the latest prices and best bets, so you can make an informed decision before finalizing your betting card!

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Miami Dolphins+2.5 (+100)+125Over 49 (-105)
LA Rams-2.5 (-120)-145Under 49 (-115)

Online bookies don’t have confidence in either side in this matchup. The Rams are a -145 favorite to win outright on the moneyline, with an implied probability of almost 60%!

That isn’t the most convincing price, so the Dolphins are expected to have a realistic chance despite losing three consecutive games. Also, oddsmakers foresee a high-scoring contest — hence an over/under of 49 points.

There are some key betting trends to keep in mind before placing your best Monday Night Football bets!

I’ve dug through several trends for both matchups and have isolated the best to consider for the Dolphins vs. Rams:

  • The Miami Dolphins are 7-3 against the spread (ATS) in their previous ten games versus the Los Angeles Rams.
  • The Miami Dolphins are 6-1 outright in their previous seven games on the road versus the Los Angeles Rams.
  • The Los Angeles Rams are 0-5 outright in their previous five games overall versus the Miami Dolphins.
  • The Los Angeles Rams are 3-5 against the spread (ATS) in eight games in 2024.
  • The Los Angeles Rams are 2-9-1 against the spread (ATS) in their previous 12 games in November.
  • The UNDER is 7-3 in the Miami Dolphins’ previous 10 games overall.
  • The UNDER is 10-5 in the Los Angeles Rams’ previous 15 games versus the AFC.

MNF Football Prediction and Betting Pick: Dolphins vs. Rams

The Rams are in the thick of a tight race in the NFC West. At 4-4, they are a game behind the Cardinals, tied with the 49ers, and a game ahead of the Seahawks. It’s the most competitive division in football, and every single matchup is going to be crucial for the Rams.

Last year, they heated up in the second half of the schedule to earn a berth in the Wild Card Round. The team is following a similar path at the moment, as the Rams enter Week 10 on a three-game win streak. Sean McVay’s squad is coming off a 26-20 win in overtime against the Seattle Seahawks.

It was a key victory for the Rams, and I think they’re going to be in for another stiff challenge this week. The Dolphins appear down and out, but I’m confident that QB Tua Tagovailoa gets the offense on track in his second game back on the field. Tagovailoa passed for 231 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions on 89.3% completions in the 30-27 loss to the Bills.

Although the Dolphins lost in a nail-biter, it was still a promising performance on the road against a Super Bowl 59 contender. For the first time in a while, the Dolphins looked like the offense that torched the NFL in 2023.

Look for Tagovailoa to look strong against a Rams’ secondary struggling to find consistency. Through Week 9, the Rams are 23rd with 225 yards yielded through the air per game. WR Tyreek Hill and WR Jaylen Waddle are both likely in for big games on the stats sheet.

If the offense can catch up, the Dolphins should look like a contender again. Note that the Dolphins’ defense is fourth with 183.1 passing yards allowed per game. There have been some bright spots in an otherwise miserable season in Miami.

The Rams are winless against the Dolphins in their last five attempts. Additionally, the Dolphins are 6-1 on the road in their past seven matchups versus the Rams. The Dolphins can go on a run, which could start in Week 10. For your best MNF bets, consider the Dolphins as a slight road underdog!

The Bet
Miami Dolphins +2.5

Team MNF Prop Bets: Dolphins vs. Rams

Bovada has a variety of Monday Night Football prop bets for the Dolphins vs. Rams. Let’s delve into my top team props:

Both Teams to Score 19 or More Points? Yes

    • 19 or More Points (-165)
    • 19 or Less Points (+125)

While I don’t have full confidence in the total one way or another — it’s a sharp number at 50 points. However, I am confident in both football clubs reaching at least 20 points in this one. As I stated, Tagovailoa and the offense looked different compared to earlier in the season.

After shaking the rust off last week, Tagovailoa should get the offense humming at levels we haven’t seen this season. Even coming off a concussion and only his second game back on the field since September 12, he didn’t show any ill effects.

That said, I don’t expect QB Matthew Stafford and the Rams to go down quietly. The Dolphins’ secondary will be a tough assignment, but with a healthy receiving core finally, Stafford should come up with two or three big plays. With an injury-riddled offense, the Rams have averaged 21.3 points per game this season.

19 or more points for both teams is a strong option for your best MNF prop bets in Week 10!

The Bet
Both Teams 19+ Points

Largest Lead in Game: 14 Points and Under

LARGEST LEADODDS
14 Points and Under-135
Between 15 and 21+215
Between 22 and 28+525
Between 29 and 35+1100
36 and Over+2400

The Dolphins and Rams are expected to play a tightly contested match at SoFi Stadium on Monday night. With the point spread close to a pick’em, this isn’t likely to be a runaway for either team.

I agree with this sentiment. In my opinion, the Dolphins should cover, but they aren’t blowing out the Rams. Stafford rarely allows games to get away from him when Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp are on the field.

That being said, the Dolphins’ secondary will offer some resistance, so Stafford can’t gun up and down the field. This matchup likely goes down to the wire, with the Dolphins and Rams trading points for the majority of this one.

With that in mind, the largest lead in the game should stay within 14 points on Monday Night Football!

The Bet
Largest Lead 14 Points and Under

Best Monday Night Football Player Props This Week

Now, let’s delve into the best MNF player prop bets to consider locking in at sports betting apps and sites for both matchups on Monday.

There are a few plays that have caught my attention, so let’s analyze these best Monday Night Football player props this week on Bovada below:

Total Receiving Yards: Jonnu Smith (MIA) Over 37.5 (-115)

    • Over 37.5 (-115)
    • Under 37.5 (-115)

TE Jonnu Smith has benefited from the drop-off in production from Hill and Waddle. He is having a strong season in his eighth year in the NFL. After a career-high 582 receiving yards in 2023, Smith is on pace to eclipse that number.

He enters with 300 yards and one touchdown on the season. Smith has been more involved in the offense in recent weeks, and that should continue. The former Titan has been targeted 27 times for 21 receptions and an average of 56 yards per game.

Tagovailoa came back and immediately took a liking to Smith as a target, too. Note that Smith has notched at least 40 yards in three of his last four performances.

It looks like another one of those games, so back Smith for your best MNF player props this week!

The Bet
Smith Over 37.5 Rec. Yds

Total Receiving Yards: Tyreek Hill (MIA) Over 79.5 (-115)

    • Over 79.5 (-115)
    • Under 79.5 (-115)

Hill is performing well below expectations this season, but he is showing indications of waking up. The eight-time Pro Bowl receiver has caught 34 receptions for 446 yards and one touchdown.

He has recorded 10 receptions and 152 yards over the last two weeks. Upon Tagovailoa’s return to the starting lineup, Hill has looked more like himself recently. After a solid opening week, he floundered in the ensuing weeks but is gaining traction again.

Look for the Tagovailoa to Hill connection to continue to blossom against the Rams’ spotty secondary.

I expect “Cheetah” to find room to operate in this one, so Hill over 79.5 receiving yards is a bet worth including on your MNF card!

The Bet
Hill Over 79.5 Rec. Yds

Total Receiving Yards: DeMarcus Robinson (LAR) Over 29.5 (-115)

    • Over 29.5 (-115)
    • Under 29.5 (-115)

Stafford works the ball around in this offense. Kupp and Nacua are getting a solid share, but Stafford isn’t forgetting about the other weapons. No. 3 WR DeMarcus Robinson is still getting multiple looks a game from Stafford in the passing game.

Robinson holds 327 receiving yards on 21 receptions through eight games. He is coming off a season-high six receptions and 94 yards against the Seahawks. Attention on Kupp from the defense was able to spring Robinson loose for a big performance.

Note that Robinson has registered more than 30 yards in six of eight games this season. The total appears seven or eight years too short, so the over makes for a strong play in Week 10!

The Bet
Robinson Over 29.5 Rec. Yds

Monday Night Football Parlay for Week 10

For my final Monday Night Football betting pick, I am finishing with a parlay bet consisting of the player prop selections. In review, Smith over 37.5 receiving yards, Hill over 79.5 receiving yards, and Robinson over 29.5 receiving yards have made it on my ticket!
