The latest odds confirm that the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year (OPOY) Award will be the hardest to predict in 2025. While the MVP award is primarily a quarterback award, the OPOY award can go to RBs, WRs, TEs, and QBs. Sometimes, the MVP will win this award, too, just like Patrick Mahomes did in 2018.
Last year, the award went to Christian McCaffrey after he totaled over 2,000 yards from scrimmage. Voters tend to give this award to the most outstanding statistical season from a non-QB (unless a quarterback has an outrageous year). That makes it very difficult to predict which player will have a massive season and take home this award year after year.
However, we’ll look at the favorites of the top NFL betting sites and a few sleepers who could take home the trophy next season. Without further ado, here are our latest odds and predictions for next year’s NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.

Josh Allen (Bills) | +4500 |
C.J. Stroud (Texans) | +5000 |
Jayden Daniels (Commanders) | +5000 |
Once again, we have a new favorite for Offensive Player of the Year at NFL betting sites! Derrick Henry (+230) of Baltimore has shot up the board, and now has an implied probability of 30.3% to win the award. Henry also won the award in 2020, and has a great chance to do it again!
Saquon Barkley (+400) of Philadelphia has been bumped down a spot to second, and has a 20% chance to win the award. Receivers Justin Jefferson (+475) of Minnesota, and Ja’Marr Chase (+700) of Cincinnati are next, and the former LSU teammates are pacing all NFL receivers at offshore sportsbooks currently.
The preseason favorite, Christian McCaffrey of San Francisco, is all the way off the board now. The running back has yet to suit for the 49ers this season as he deals with an Achilles injury. However, it has been reported that McCaffrey ‘s return is targeted for Week 10, which is the week after the 49ers’ bye.

NFL Offensive Player of the Year 2024–25 Betting Favorites
The NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds showcase a few favorites, so let’s start with them.
Derrick Henry (Ravens) +230
Derrick Henry got off to a slow start for the Ravens, who signed the former Tennessee Titan in the offseason. He had 46 yards in his first game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Since then, Henry has put up 84, 151, 199, and 92 yards as the Ravens are now 3-2 after losing their first two games.

Henry is second in the NFL with 572 yards, and has averaged 6.0 yards per carry. He has also found the end zone six times, and has fumbled once in 95 carries. The massive running back also takes some of the rushing pressure off quarterback Lamar Jackson, and the Ravens have the best ground game in the league!
+230 is still a solid price for Henry, but let’s see if he can keep it up for a few more weeks.
Saquon Barkley (Eagles): +400
The Eagles are a mess, at 2-2 as they come out of their bye week with an NFL Week 6 matchup at home against Cleveland. But Saquon Barkley is still chugging along, and ranks third in the league behind Henry with 435 yards. Barkley also has four touchdowns, averages 6.0 yards a carry, and has yet to fumble this season.
Fantasy PPG LEADERS through 5 weeks:
Who’s the biggest surprise 🤔
1️⃣ Saquon Barkley (RB) – 23.0
2️⃣ Alvin Kamara (RB) – 21.5
3️⃣ Derrick Henry (RB) – 21.4
4️⃣ Kenneth Walker (RB) – 20.2
5️⃣ 𝐉𝐚’𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 (WR) – 18.8
6️⃣ Malik Nabers (WR) – 18.5 pic.twitter.com/SOJN5Q9fzc— Bleacher Nation Fantasy (@BN_Fantasy_) October 9, 2024
The former New York Giant is holding up his end of the bargain for the Eagles, but the team around him is struggling. Barkley has been their best player all season, and it’s reflected in his NFL OPOY odds. But it’s a long season for running backs, and I think there’s a little more value down the board, which is no knock on Barkley.
Justin Jefferson, Vikings (+475)
The 5-0 Vikings have been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season, and Justin Jefferson has a lot to do with that. Jefferson ranks fourth in the NFL in receiving yards with 450 yards, and has hauled in four touchdowns.

The former LSU star often attracts double teams, and still comes up with the ball. Vikings’ receiver Jordan Addison has been up and down this season, so running back Aaron Jones is next on the team with 167 receiving yards. Jefferson’s 43 targets is more than double Jones’ 20 targets.
But it doesn’t seem to matter how many players Jefferson is guarded by, he makes the play. At +450, Jefferson represents some good betting value at NFL betting sites!
Ja'Marr Chase, Bengals (+700)
However, Ja’Marr Chase offers even more value at +700 for his 2024-2025 NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds. The Cincinnati offense is on a roll lately, and Chase is coming off a massive game! He had 12 catches for 193 yards and two scores in a 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens in Week 5.

It hasn’t translated to success for the Bengals, who are 1-4 because their defense has been atrocious. But if they can improve, even just a little, the Bengals’ record will get better. That will put Chase in a prime position to capture the award. His 493 yards is second to Houston’s Nico Collins, who is out for at least a month with a hamstring injury.
Top Offensive Player of the Year Sleepers for 2024–25
Of all the major awards, this is the one that produces the most out-of-nowhere winners. Cooper Kupp, Michael Thomas, and DeMarco Murray were some of the most surprising players recently. With that in mind, here are a few sleepers that have the potential to snatch the award next season.
-
Lamar Jackson is a two-time MVP, including last season, but he has never won the Offensive Player of the Year Award! But he is having a marvelous season as Jackson is ninth in the league with 1,235 yards, and he has nine touchdowns to just one interception.
OMG LAMAR JACKSON 😱😱🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/EIrmbRpKfU
— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) October 6, 2024
But Jackson’s true value comes in his ability to move around the pocket, and of course, run the ball. The former Louisville star is eighth in the league in rushing with 363 yards, adding two touchdowns. While the Ravens signed Henry to take the rushing load off Jackson, it has also opened up more room for Jackson to do what he does.
At +3000, Jackson’s 2024-2025 NFL OPOY odds are definitely worth a look!
-
This is a real longshot, but Jordan Mason leads the NFL in rushing with 609 yards as he has taken over the reins in the San Francisco backfield with McCaffrey out.
Jordan Mason : 9 carries for 73 yards on 8.1 yards per carry & 1 catch for 9 yards (Left the game in the 2nd quarter with a left shoulder injury but returned to the game on a limited basis) pic.twitter.com/XCxilrRFIs
— Lee Harvey (@MusikFan4Life) October 11, 2024
It is a concern that Mason was knocked out of San Francisco’s 36-24 win over Seattle on Thursday Night Football, due to a shoulder injury. But the 49ers have a long week as they don’t play Kansas City until October 20.
If he is healthy, Mason will continue to get the majority of the carries for the 49ers. Even if McCaffrey comes back, how healthy will he even be? With NFL OPOY odds of +10000, you should at least consider Mason.
2024–25 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Prediction and Betting Pick
The Offensive Player of the Year award is difficult to predict, so the best strategy here is to take a long shot on a good offense. Cincinnati has a great offense, even if their defense is killing them early in the season.
I’m going with Ja’Marr Chase’s 2024-2025 NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds, as +700 is one of the best NFL bets for a player that should lead the league in receiving yards in the next week or two. It should also be noted that Chase is playing for a new contract. The more yards and touchdowns he gets, the more his number goes up, if not for Cincinnati, another team.
Backing a contender of this caliber at +700 is good value, so that’s my betting pick for NFL Offensive Player of the Year. Speaking of value, The Sports Geek is giving away over $20,000 in free prizes in our free NFL pick’em contest, so check it out!
