In high school, I had a football pick’em game that everyone wanted to play. The kids would make their picks in class by Noon on Friday. I never won and no one ever had a string of wins. It was fun to sit and check at night on Sundays as there was no Sunday Night Football games as well.
There are tons, but seeing Pete Carroll and the Seahawks win the Super Bowl over Denver was my favorite. I have been a USC football fan since I was in elementary school, so to see Pete get the ‘W’ there was magnificent. He won two at USC, but could have had a couple more if there had been the 4-team playoff or the 12-team tournament that there should have been.
My friend introduced me to an NFL-based game with the lines, O/U, player props, etc. I was losing so poorly that I had to pay off and stop at midseason.
